MilkDrop alternative
That Winamp feeling, in a browser tab
PulseKani is a free music visualizer you open in a browser — no plugin, no player, no install. It is not a MilkDrop port and does not load MilkDrop presets; it is its own set of 28 hand-built scenes that react live to your music.
How it compares to MilkDrop
MilkDrop (and its browser port, Butterchurn) is built around thousands of community presets that morph into each other. PulseKani takes a different approach: a smaller library of polished scenes — tunnels, particles, spectrum bars, oscilloscopes, liquid shapes — with clear controls for intensity, colour and pace.
If you want endless preset variety, MilkDrop-based tools are great. If you want something calm, smooth and easy to put on a second screen, PulseKani may suit you better. Both are free.
Works with the music you already have
Drop an MP3, WAV, FLAC or OGG file, use your microphone, or share a browser tab that is playing music. Your audio is analysed in the browser and never sent anywhere.
How to set it up
- 1. Open PulseKani
Go to pulsekani.com in desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- 2. Add your music
Drop a file, choose your microphone, or share a tab that is playing music.
- 3. Sit back
